We’re excited to introduce the Pear Deck Power-up! The Power-up is a free Google Chrome extension. Installing it ensures that your videos, animations, and GIFs are embedded on your slides and play at full resolution on the projector and student devices—exactly the way they should!

Try using Screencastify and Google Classroom to create opportunities for students to record themselves reading, allowing them to hear their own oral fluency. The idea behind this is that you give students a passage to practice their fluency. The students then use Screencastify to record themselves reading the passage.
Do students need to install Pear Deck?
Students/participants do not need to create a Pear Deck account. But presenters can require participants to join the Session with an email address or have them join anonymously before presenting.
Can I assign a Pear Deck for homework?
Pear Deck for Homework: Start your Student-Paced Session. On the Pear Deck Home Page, Click your picture. Click the three little dots in the lower right corner. Type your Instructions, and paste the link here to your Pear Deck.
Do links work in Pear Deck?
Pear Deck can only embed sites that are both secure (i.e. they have https:// at the head of the URL) and embeddable. If you want students to view a site that is not secure or not embeddable, you can still paste the link into your Pear Deck Web slide.
